a couple of photos from Robyn's camera
My favorite hippie girls picture so far: Glenn forwarded the email from her, she says she has more. We're expecting more from several people. I've been dumping all that have come in so far into a folder on my hard drive. I'll both crop some like these great ones to make a "best of" group and also load all the raw photos into onto one of the photo services. That should make a hell of a slidehow.
I had given Will a rusty old BB gun and he immediately said he was going out hunting for bears. I just wanna think that that's somehow related to this picture.
Is this cute or what?
John Sr. had his brand new scooter there and gave rides to all takers. He kept pretty busy. This is Mitch and Baby David making the rounds. Probably the equivalent weight of 5 or 6 Chinese people.

Thanks to All Our Guests
I was walking around the Woodzie site today picking up a little and only found TWO cigarette butts. Everybody did such a great job cleaning up their campsites. I'm so happy that each one of your shared the day (and nite, and day) with us!
Also I found a whole watermelon, and it's delicious!!

Jimmie's logo for the 2nd Woodzie
this was the first t-shirt, we didn't do one for 2004. I had a hard time finding it but here it is and now, as promised earlier, all of her four woodzie drawings are posted. This was the first appearance of the Woodzie chick and she's been getting more naked and more talented each year. After coming out of the tree, she danced by the fire in 2006 then learned to play the tambourine in the moonlight in 2007 and now she's very boldly playing the guitar in 2008. Have to wonder what'll be next. If you have any of the past tees, they've kinda been made cooler because they're now part of a pretty long running ongoing series.

this is my essay on one of many 2008 Woodzie stories
Mitch calls on the Thursday before the Woodzie and asks if I'd seen the Current. It's the arts and entertainment magazine given out free in San Antonio. When I said no he started to laugh. That's always bad. more
Ideas for Next Year
Please let us know what you think would help make next year even better.
I'll start.
Maybe it would be a good idea to have a special area that is a quiet campground for those who really want to sleep.
Two stages?
I've always wanted a photo booth.
It might be fun to have a door prize. To qualify you have to sign up - that way we get an accurate head count and info on how to contact the Woodzie community at large.
Conga line.
Would it be fun if people voted on the best pot luck food contribution? We could give an award to the winner.
Pony rides.
Make a comment with your ideas!

Mimi messaged to say she has photos
that she'll post soon. She has some now on her MySpace page that shows her and her friends making rice crispy treats and then driving down from Austin. With a hammock.

Deirdre's photos are on flickr, too
Here's the slideshow and here's her Woodzie 2008 set. These are mostly the same as the ones in a post down below, I just hadn't thought about putting up the direct flickr slideshow links. It's nice to see them really big.
and here's Kim's excellent photos
Here's a link to the slideshow . Click "options" and choose "always show title and description" because she put some nice comments in there. And here's one to the Woodzie set she created. Because they're on flicker, you can open yourself a free account and then download her full resolution files and have them for your own little self. Easy distribution is one of the many beauties of flickr.

the first of the photos from Malcolm Myler's camera
He sent a ton of great ones. and movies. We didn't get the big slideshow going at the end of the night but we're going to put a really slick one together online so it can be here all year. We'll try to do it in a way that everybody can download the photos that they want. I think there's going to be hundreds and hundreds of photos to put your own collection together from. Everybody else who had a camera there, please get me your photos.
