I can't even express how relieved I am about the weather reports for Saturday. The Woodzie is the biggest weather gamble we take all year. The reason we're ready to call it is that this isn't just one local weather guy's forecast, everybody from the National Weather Service on down says it's going to be one of the nicest weekends so far this year. DRY! Yipee! Not just like in no rain but DRY as in low humidity. That's a home run.

Even though this IS Texas, the pattern is stable and it's just flat out not going to rain. The question is whether it's going to be a great day or just totally awesome. Is our lotto ticket gonna scratch $1,000 or $5,000? It could be a Santa Fe New Mexican dream day. It's just nice to be in line for a chance of that.

We're going to have a fantastic day. It's like waiting for Christmas as an eight year old, all of us here just can't wait for the big day to come.

just look around at this weather!! They say this is going to hold with warm, dry days and cool but not cold nights. What can you say about that except "PERFECT".

When you look at that weather forecast link there are two things that really matter.
A. LOW HUMIDITY
(which means we will be comfortable)
B. LOW WIND
(which means campfires will be safe)

After that, it's all gravy.

how in the world could there have been any better weather? The best for any of the five Woodzies so far. Not at any point too cold or ever too hot... right there in the middle. At night it was just cool enough where a fire made sense but you didn't need to stand by it. The sun was shining bright but there was just enough cloud cover to keep from getting too much sun. But the big thing was that just for Saturday, just that one day, a dry front blew though and took the humidity down to below 40%. That's why people drive to Santa Fe and we had it here for free. Perfect.
